Caradawc Tarangan, Character Summary


Caradawc (pronounced ka-RAD-ook) is an ancient Welsh name derived from the Brythonic Caratācos, the same name that became the Latinised Caratacus. It is traditionally interpreted as meaning beloved or the loved one, making it a fitting name for a steadfast Shaman of the Frostraiders guild.

Tarangan (pronounced ta-RAN-gan) means “thunder song” in Welsh, making it an especially fitting name for a Shaman whose power is drawn from the forces of nature.

A Character's Story

Rather than simply listing the items I have equipped, this page serves as a snapshot of both my own progression and that of the Frostraiders guild during the opening months of the Frostreaver server.

One of the things I have always enjoyed about EverQuest is that a character's equipment tells a story. Every upgrade represents a raid, a quest or an achievement, and many pieces remain useful long after they are first obtained. Looking back through this equipment is like looking back through the guild's progression.

The DKP history tells another part of that story. Not everything purchased with Caradawc's DKP was ultimately intended for Caradawc himself. Some items were acquired for other characters, so the raid history below distinguishes between Caradawc's own loot and items purchased using Caradawc's DKP for other characters.

If you are returning to EverQuest II after several years away, there are plenty of things that may look familiar while still working in ways you have forgotten. Some systems are obvious as soon as you log back in. Others are much easier to overlook. Status items belong firmly in the second category. As you adventure through Norrath, you will occasionally loot items that look like ordinary pieces of treasure but are not intended to be equipped.
