Deity-Specific Jewellery

Deity-Specific Jewellery

EverQuest contains a range of jewellery that is tied directly to the deity your character follows. These items are made by combining an enchanted metal bar with a gem that has been imbued by a suitable spell caster.

The jeweller does not need to follow the same deity. The finished jewellery, however, can only be worn by characters who follow the deity associated with the imbued gem.

This makes deity-specific jewellery a useful part of the wider religious equipment system on a progression server.

How Deity Jewellery Works

Each deity has its own associated gem. A suitable spell caster who follows that deity can imbue the gem, creating the component required for the jewellery. The jeweller then combines the imbued gem with an enchanted metal bar.

The four traditional metal tiers used for these recipes are:

Silver

The lowest metal tier and the earliest practical entry into deity-specific jewellery.

Electrum

The second tier, producing stronger jewellery with higher recipe trivials.

Gold

The third tier, with substantially higher Jewelcrafting requirements.

Platinum

The highest of the four traditional tiers, with the most demanding recipes.

Important: The jeweller's own deity does not determine which deity-specific jewellery can be made. What matters is the deity of the imbued gem and the deity restriction on the finished item.

The following table shows the deity associated with each imbued gem and the spell-casting classes able to provide the required imbued gem.

What the Different Metals Provide

The metal determines the tier of the jewellery and, in most cases, the amount of its associated statistics. The progression from Silver through Electrum, Gold and Platinum therefore gives Jewelcrafters a natural way to produce progressively stronger deity-specific items.

The finished items are generally lightweight and occupy conventional jewellery slots such as the finger, ear, wrist, neck and face slots. The exact slot and statistics depend upon the deity and recipe.

Remember: Deity-specific jewellery is restricted by deity. A character cannot simply equip an item because they meet its class or race requirements; the character must also follow the deity associated with the imbued gem.

Solusek Ro Jewellery

Solusek Ro is unusual among the deity jewellery lines because its Fire Opal jewellery has a class restriction. The imbued Fire Opal is supplied by a Wizard, and the finished Fire jewellery is restricted to Bards and Wizards.

Building Your Deity Jewellery

A complete jewellery chain therefore brings together several trades and characters:

  1. A spell caster follows the required deity.
  2. The caster imbues the appropriate gem.
  3. An Enchanter provides the enchanted metal bar.
  4. A Jeweller combines the enchanted metal and imbued gem.
  5. The finished item can be worn by followers of the appropriate deity.

This makes deity jewellery an excellent example of how EverQuest's original tradeskills and religious systems interact.

Related Deity Systems

Deity-specific jewellery is only one part of the religious equipment system. Your chosen deity may also determine access to Symbol Quests, idols, weapons, shields and other special rewards.
